Kenny Nunn, a saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, is a senior Jazz Studies major senior at Howard University.  Kenny studied with Noah Getz at the Levine School of Music and with Paul Carr as  a member of Paul Carr's Jazz Academy of Music. Through this program, he played with artists such as Randy Brecker and Joey Calderazzo.  In 2012, he received the Instrumental Soloist Award at the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival High School Competition.  He currently studies with Charlie Young, Sais Kamalidiin, and Jihoon Chang.  He performs as first tenor in the Howard University Jazz Ensemble.  In 2013, Kenny traveled with the Howard University Jazztet to perform in the Saint Louis International Jazz Festival in Senegal. While there, he participated in various concerts and taught masterclasses in Dakar, Thies, Louga, and Saint Louis.  Kenny Nunn performs regularly throughout the DC metropolitan area, in venues such as Blues Alley and Twins Jazz.
